Celtic Woman

Ok, so I'm not gonna riff on the "stuck-on-stupid" lefties at the "rally". Old news. Here's something MUCH more upbeat and positive! Jessica and I went to see Celtic Woman at the Orpheum in Minneapolis on October 22nd. I can't tell you how awesome the show was! Amazing. I've got to get out more. I absolutely love going to events like this. The kind of event that when you tell people what you are going to see they look at you like idiots and say "Huh?". And then you come back with memories of one of the best performances you've ever seen and you think about the sad people that missed it. Poor sheltered bastards.
I don't think Jessica liked it very much. I figured she wouldn't. Don't care. IT FREAKIN' ROCKED! She'd rather go to one of her hippity-hop concerts or a Godspank show, or whatever it is these kids are listening to these days. Noisy pap.
Minneapolis has changed a lot since I was there over ten years ago. They've really cleaned up downtown. The only downside is that Cafe DiNapoli has been closed down. Sad face. Fatty like Italian.
The Orpheum (and State) Theatre has really been fixed up all nice-like, too. Simply put, it was great to be back again. A friend of mine thinks of Minneapolis as his "home" (even though he's never lived there, whatsoever). And his heart is always yearning to go back "home". Sniff. Gosh, I would have loved to have taken him along. Oh, well. Maybe next time! (Chortle...)
Oh, AND...I got an autographed poster, too! Yay, me! I'm gonna have it framed along with the tickets. (They don't tear them up, anymore. They scan 'em. Thank God.)
I wish my grandmother was still around. She would have loved the show, too. (That alone should tell you how old I'm getting.) She was educated, taught music, and lived in Minneapolis before coming to North Dakota. She used to take us kids all around the city. I don't think she'd recognize it, now.
The Mall Of America was fun, but one needs about two whole days to cover the entire thing. We were gonna see the zoo, but we ran out of time and money. Two things of which you can never have enough. I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for other shows. I just can't wait to go "home" again! Sniff.
Celtic Woman...You guys rocked! I love all of you!

Did you bring one home for me? I'm part Irish, I could translate for you. Sorry Jessica didn't like the show that much, maybe next tour they can break into a Fitty Cent-Pee Dooky-M&M-Loodakris medley? Aight? Word?

GODSPANK!!!!!!!! YOU ASS!!!! I don’t belittle the people you listen too!!! I went along with you to see Celtic Women and that’s what I get!!! YOU make FUN of my favorite band!!! Not fair and not nice at all. Next time take another old foggy with you. They’ll enjoy it much more than I will.

And as for you Charles, you don’t know me. I don’t like 50 cent, so do some research before you make another snide comment about something you know little about.

Oooh. I seem to have hit a nerve. This coming from someone who has made it well known that she hates my President, my faith, and an entire DECADE of my music. Hmmm. C'mon. You gotta admit. Godspank is funny! Sure, they fall in love with your sense of humor, but when you break out the big guns...(No penis jokes, please. You OR Charles.)

I'm not hurt. I'm just sailing away on the Orinoco Flow. These kids today need to chill out. Back in the '80's we were all going to die in a nuclear holocaust caused by Ronald Reagan, so we didn't have time to get so angry! Pee Dooky...I'm smiling...
